Go Ride A Wave

Great Ocean Road · Gold Coast · Noosa

Overview

One of the country's biggest multi-site schools.

Teaching since the late 1980s, Go Ride A Wave is one of Australia's largest surf schools, running along the Great Ocean Road — Torquay, Anglesea, Lorne and Ocean Grove — and across south-east Queensland at Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach and Noosa.

Lessons run around two hours, starting with a briefing on the sand before moving into waist-deep water, with a full wetsuit and soft board provided. There's also stand-up paddleboard hire and the junior SurfGroms program for kids.
